ABOUT CHRISTIN

I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

I began my professional career at The Meadows, a world-renowned inpatient treatment facility specializing in trauma and addiction recovery. There, I worked with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, sex addiction, combat-related trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. While at The Meadows I trained with some of the top addiction and mental health professionals in the industry, including Pia Mellody and Peter Levine.

I was first introduced to Somatic Experiencing® while at The Meadows, which now shapes the way I work with clients. I have additional training in EMDR, sex addiction, chronic pain, love addiction and love avoidance. I have previously worked as a supervisor for associate-level clinicians, and now provide ongoing support to Somatic Experiencing students as a training assistant.

In addition to private practice, I teach undergraduate courses on topics related to substance abuse and addiction counseling.
