I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I began my professional career at The Meadows, a world-renowned inpatient treatment facility specializing in trauma and addiction recovery. There, I worked with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, sex addiction, combat-related trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. While at The Meadows I trained with some of the top addiction and mental health professionals in the industry, including Pia Mellody and Peter Levine.
I was first introduced to Somatic Experiencing® while at The Meadows, which now shapes the way I work with clients. I have additional training in EMDR, sex addiction, complicated or chronic pain, love addiction and love avoidance. As an AZBBHE approved clinical supervisor, I continue to pursue ongoing education in the field of counseling.
I work full-time as a counselor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, where I provide drug and alcohol counseling, as well as general mental health counseling to students. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exercising, reading, and spending time with my husband and children.
